OSRAM and Philips have signed a patent cross license contract covering optoelectronic semiconductors. This contract has the mutual licensing of patents for all lifeless and organic LED. “We wait for this to put us in an even improved position to use LED technology to serve up the demands of the market”, said Dr. Rüdiger Müller, President and CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH in Regensburg. The concord relates to patents held by Philips, including the US auxiliary Lumileds, and by OSRAM counting its auxiliary OSRAM Opto Semiconductors.
