Furniture employee injured by conveyor
A worker at a Catawba County furniture plant was wounded Tuesday when his arm became caught in a conveyor, the company said.
Dennis Arquiett, a momentary worker at McCreary Modern Inc., was working in the Newton Company’s packaging and shipping department in Maiden when he was wounded around 12:30 p.m., the company said in a statement.
Company employees freed him rapidly, the Newton-based company said. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The hospital will not give a report on his condition.
