Magnetic Ballast:

Older style ballast using a magnetic core and then to coil to convert electrical current to a proper voltage to run a lamp. Classically create a lot of heat, are not very energy efficient, and it also cause lamp flicker due to a 60 Hz operating cycle.

Magnifying Lamps:

A lighting fixture fitted with a magnifying lens to increase lighting intensity over a very small area.

Mercury Vapor Lamp:

Filled with mercury vapor. In contrast to its low-pressure discharge that radiates almost exclusively ultraviolet light, mercury vapor emits visible light under a very high pressure, with a low red content. The red content is often supplemented by its additional fluorescent material, and the overall [colour rendition=1922 improved.
