Glare:

The sensation produced by luminance within the visual field that is quite sufficiently greater than the luminance to which the eyes are normally adapted to cause annoyance, discomfort, and loss in visual performance and visibility.

General Lighting:

Essentially identical light throughout an area, with no extraordinary provisions for individual tasks or objects.

Garden Lighting:

Also known as ambient lighting provides in general illumination and radiates brightness to see and walk about areas securely. You can use chandeliers, ceiling or wall-mounted fixtures, recessed and track lights as well, and lanterns for the outside of your home. Garden lighting is fundamental to a lighting plan because it replaces sunlight.

Gas Lights:

A luminaries that uses ablaze gas as its light source.
