Filament:

Wire element, generally coiled, in a lamp that turns incandescent and emits light when heated by an electric current.

Fixture:

Informal substitute term for luminaries, particularly luminaries without the lamps.

Fixtures:

The devices that contain the bulbs and (if necessary) the ballasts. Fixtures come in many numbers of shapes and sizes depending on their application. Some are designed to give architectural appeal and also provide ambiance, and some are specially designed to minimize glare on computer screens and used for other working surfaces.

Fluorescent Lamps:

With especially compact dimensions actually created by bending the discharge tube. Compact fluorescent lamps always have only one lamp cap.

Floor Lighting:

Floor lamps and portable lamps are task lighting for reading, sewing etc. They should be free of distracting glare and shadows and must be bright enough to prevent eyestrain.

Footlight:

Luminaries, often a strip light that is used from the floor of a stage, runway, or also other performing area. These luminaries received its name due it was originally used to illuminate the feet of dancing performers on stage.

Energy efficient bulbs, using 2030% less electricity than standard incandescent bulbs and come in varying colors, diameters, lengths, and wattages, and are also made up for various starting and ballasting systems.
